Trump is now making fun of Mitt Romney for losing to Obama in 2012 (VIDEO)

President Trump is spending his Monday morning calling Senator Mitt Romney a "loser" for not winning the presidency against former President Obama.

The video he put on his main social media account started out with Romney and then relived the 2016 election, something Trump has not been able to stop talking about.

Trump is still angry that Senator Romney voted to convict him in his Senate impeachment trial. He was the only Republican to do so.

Romney has continued to speak out against Trump and over the weekend called Trump's firing of internal government oversight officials as a "threat to accountable democracy."

"The firings of multiple Inspectors General is unprecedented; doing so without good cause chills the independence essential to their purpose. It is a threat to accountable democracy and a fissure in the constitutional balance of power," the senator from Utah said.

Some followers of Trump still think Romney is a Democratic plant and he intentionally lost the presidency so that Obama would be re-elected.

Trump said he fired the State Department inspector general Steve Linick because he "no longer" had the "fullest confidence" in him. Mr. Linick was appointed by former President Obama and Trump has suggested in the past that anyone not appointed by him wasn't very trustworthy. In his place, Trump plans to install a longtime aide to Vice President Pence.

Others speculate that this is the beginning of a "purge" in the Trump administration to establish more loyalty.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi weighed in on the move in a statement of her own:

“The president’s late-night, weekend firing of the State Department inspector general has accelerated his dangerous pattern of retaliation against the patriotic public servants charged with conducting oversight on behalf of the American people.”
