Trump is asked to respond to 'scared Americans' and instead gets mad at reporter for the question (VIDEO)

President Donald Trump got into it with NBC's Peter Alexander in the White House briefing room on Friday after he asked him a pretty simple question.

"What do you say to Americans who are scared, though? Nearly 200 are dead, 14,000 are sick, millions as you witnessed, are scared right now. What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now who are scared?"

Trump's response is being described as "ranting and yelling," and another "epic meltdown."

The first thing out of Trump's mouth is that "you're a terrible reporter. That's what I say."

Then, as the president was moving along to another reporter's question, he decided to continue ripping into Alexander. Something about that must have gotten under Trump's skin.

"I think that's a very nasty question." Trump has accused the press of this many times, by the way.

Trump claims that all he wants to do is give the American people "answers and hope," and he believes the media isn't doing that by reporting on the coronavirus in a certain way.

What Trump doesn't mention is all his failings and shortcomings early on in the coronavirus response. That has been documented pretty in-depth already. Maybe if Trump didn't fire the pandemic response team in 2018 to save a few bucks, like he claimed on video and is a verified fact, then things wouldn't be as bad right now.
