Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) gets called out for being too scared to ask Dr. Fiona Hill a question (VIDEO)

Dr. Fiona Hill, a former official at the National Security Council, and currently giving testimony in front of Congress today for President Trump's impeachment hearings, is overtaking Washington right now.

For one - Republicans are too scared to ask her questions so they're simply going on long rants and making statements instead, in an attempt to distract from the narrative.

Finally, GOP congressman Mike Turner was called out on this, shortly after saying: "Do you guys want to be the laugh stocks of history for trying to impeach a president of the United States because he didn't take a meeting? Oh, please, dear God."

Turner then turned his attention to Mr. Holmes, preferring not to engage Hill.

In the background someone was heard interrupting him: "Sir, is there a question for Dr. Hill?"

The room burst into laughter.

When Dr. Hill was given the chance to speak, she has been nothing short of brilliant.

Earlier, she slammed Republicans for trafficking in the same conspiracy theories being pushed by Russian intelligence to undermine the United States. This was just one of the many moments she made a strong impression.

"Based on questions and statements I've heard, some of you on this committee appear to be believe that Russia and its security services did not conduct a campaign against our country and that perhaps, somehow, Ukraine did. This is a fictional narrative."

Later in her testimony, Dr. Hill called out two Republican congressmen for abruptly getting up and leaving mid-hearing. Apparently, when she does talk, they don't want to hear it.

"It's unfortunate that congressmen Turner and Ratcliffe have both left, as well. Because I think all of us who came here under a legal obligation also came here under a moral obligation as well. We came as fact witnesses."
