Nancy Pelosi just called Trump a 'freak.' And, it was amazing (AUDIO)

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is winning the internet right now.

She spoke with Recode's Kara Swisher, and said that while politicians need to be on social media, because that's where the people are, Trump is taking it to another level. While that much is obvious, her pointed criticism and frankness is getting much fanfare. Especially when she calls Trump 'a freak.'

“He’s just being a freak, I mean, he’s just terrible,” she said. “There’s more of a responsibility for a president to communicate his point of view, which we should respect, he’s the president of the United States, whether you agree with him or not, he has a point of view. But to use the office of the president as an attack vehicle ... for his market, it seems to have worked.”

“All they want to talk about is, how on Earth did he do 50 tweets in 48 hours? I think the press is an enabler of him,” she said. “And I think on the other hand, they are the best defense of him. The freedom of the press is the guardian of the gate of our democracy.

“He makes assaults on them and they strengthen him by just talking about that and that’s what an authoritarian wants you to be talking about him,” Pelosi added. “Even if they don’t like what you’re saying, if they’re talking about him, they’re not talking about us.”
